Freestyle Artist

As far as Irina remembers herself, she was always very creative. Though she had a passion for painting, she pursued personal development in both –  art and fashion. During schooling years she took Visual Art programme at Janis Rozental’s Riga Art School for 3 years, completed an Image Design course at Bogomolov’s Image School and finished Dressmaking and Garment Construction courses at Riga Burda School. Despite earning a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics at Stradins University in Riga, Irina was always listening to her inner voice of art and creativity.

Inspiration

Nature was often Irina’s main source of inspiration. By walking along the pine trees and down the beach, watching sunsets and greeting the rising sun, she has established a strong connection with nature and all living things.

History

At the age of 20 Irina moved to London, UK. There she started her full-time employment in a large luxury brand retailer, where over eight years, she moved up through different roles and grown to a department supervisor. During this period she used every opportunity to practice and improve her skills in doing makeup, and occasionally was designing and making fashion gowns for various events held in London.

At the beginning of 2020, during the times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Irina made a serious choice to quit her job and relocate to the Canary Islands. There she started spending more time outside again. She was doing a lot of hiking, mountain climbing and tested her endurance up to its limit on every trip around the islands. That triggered a change of her mindset and, as a consequence, her life path. There, she made an ultimate decision to resume her artistic journey as a painter.

Study

Upon return to the UK, Irina has completed numerous courses to obtain diverse knowledge in various directions of contemporary art. That allowed her to master a variety of techniques including utilization of resin, alcohol inks, texture paste and acrylics which she now skilfully incorporates in her art.

Via employing texture paste art, Irina achieved a three-dimensional sense of space, which evokes a realistic representation of the depicted subject matter. If you discover incorporated fragments of Irina’s memories and emotions in her artworks, it would mean the successful achievement of her goal in art.
